Today we traveled 354 miles, and saw the USS Kidd, a Fletcher class destroyer. My (Theodore's) grandfather served in two destroyers of the same class during WWII. We also entered Texas. This is the first time my brother and I have been in Texas.

That's a great picture of the USS Kidd and I didn't know that was the kind of destroyer Dad had been on. It does look like some of the pictures we have. Thanks for making the connection.
